Enclave des Papes

The Enclave des Papes is a geographic zone in the Drôme that belongs to the department of the Vaucluse.

It comprises the towns of Visan, Richerenches, Grillon and Valréas.

The history of the Enclave des Papes is rich and fascinating; it still today counts many historic features such as a Knight Templars Commandery. Its geographic situation is exceptional. Neighbouring the Mont Ventoux and near the Rhône Valley, it enjoys a Mediterranean climate that has allowed it to develop a very flourishing agricultural economy.

Discover the precious wines of the Côtes du Rhône and Grignan-les-Adhémar, the truffles in Richerenches, the lavender distilleries, the olive oil from Nyons...

The land is generous and varied, just like the multitude of activities and the places to explore in the area. And you will come cross fabulous landscapes along the many hiking trails that the region offers.
