Les Rendez-vous aux Jardins

The next annual Rendez-vous aux Jardins will take place Friday (a day devoted particularly to schoolchildren), Saturday and Sunday, June 7, 8 and 9, 2019. This year's event is based on the theme of Animals in the Garden.

This event offers all the publics, experts and neophytes of all ages, exceptional discoveries and encounters in more than 2000 parks and gardens, historic and contemporary, and invites you to participate in thousands of activities (nearly 4000 last year): guided tours, workshops, concerts, demonstrations of know-how, swap meets, etc. organized for this unique occasion.

The chosen theme this year, Animals in the Garden, invites the public to think about the relations that we humans have with our environment and with the biodiversity. Animals are indispensable components in gardens. Some animals can be pests or invasive (the box tree moth, scavengers, etc.) but others can actually help you maintain your garden (ladybirds, pollinators, etc). Moreover, animals can also be very decorative, such as a real peacock or simply in statue form.
