Vignoble Simian

As early as 1994, we became aware of the agronomic, ecological and social imbalances that had resulted from the intensive agricultural development of the 1970s.

From then on, we sought to reduce the impact of our practices on the environment, until we obtained Demeter certification in 2011 for our biodynamic vineyard management.

Today, our motto could be "You can only command nature by obeying it".

Great care is taken to ensure that the vines remain in perfect harmony with their soil and environment: the land and nature where 5 generations of winegrowers have grown up.

Everything we do, in the vineyards and in the cellar, is carefully thought out, in keeping with this harmonious and fragile balance, which today enables us to produce grapes of the highest quality: thick skins rich in colour and aroma, with silky tannins; juicy, sweet pulp with stable acidity.

The entire vineyard has been cultivated biodynamically since 2008.

As far as possible, work in the vines and in the cellar is carried out in line with lunar cycles and natural rhythms.

We use dynamised preparations that strengthen the vines' natural resistance by invigorating and regenerating the soil. There are no more 'weeds' here, the ecosystem must be preserved and our environmental approach considered from every angle.

The history of the estate has led us to work on 4 very specific terroirs, spread over Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Orange, Piolenc and Uchaux.

Combined with judicious choices from the range of local grape varieties, some of which are sometimes forgotten, they enable us to offer a wide range of cuvées, each with its own character.

Our cuvées are the result of many years of experimentation in the cellar, from the grape to the bottle, with a minimum of inputs. 

Our winemaking methods and the types of vats we use vary greatly from one wine to another. The only constant remains the quest for quality and meticulous work.
