Its millstones
couldn't have ground any of Maître Cornille's wheat. And
yet... similar in every part to Daudet's hero's mill, there's
still a lovely smell of sweet Provence flour. Its wings are
still in motion and still seem to echo the moving miller's
words, a miller who was the victim of a too cruel progress.
It preserved environment in a protected natural area make
it look like a real postcard of Provence.
Everything's on
it: view, tranquility, space, shade and mostly aromatic plants
like thyme, rosemary... Cades, brooms, cypresses and sicadas
enhance the authenticity of the place.
Finally, in front of you,
the majestic bridge, le Pont du Gard offers a sight no one can
be immune to. Alexandre Dumas was comparing it to a stone rainbow.
