The Museum of the Gréasque Mine
south of the Sainte Victoire Mountain in Provence


Situated on a mining site listed as a historic monument, the Historic Mining Centre lets you discover the history and the technologies of mining in Provence.
Regular events are organized, among which are monthly encounters with the miners who share with you their lives.

• Open every day including holidays, except Tuesdays and May 1.
• Annual closing from December 20 to January 15.
• Tours at 9:45, 10:45, 2:15, 3:15, 4:15, 5:00.
• Duration of the tour 1:30.
• The museum has a souvenirs shop also selling regional products, a car and coach parking lot and an exhibition space.
• It is accessible to the handicapped.
To come to the Museum of the Mine :

The museum is in Gréasque, above the housing estates on the route going to Gardanne.
Follow the signs for "Puits Hély d'Oissel".
