Ménerbes is a splendid little village in the Luberon, classed amongst the most beautiful in France. Ménerbes is built on the crest of a hill forming a sort of vessel and surrounded by magnificent landscapes.
The area has been inhabited since the neolithic period (the Pitchoune dolmen, the only one in the Vaucluse). The hermit Castor founded the monastery of Mananca, which can still be seen.

Ménerbes offers you a magnificent panoramic view over the Luberon and the mountains of the Vaucluse

A visit of the village of Ménerbes shows you how rich is its past and it has guarded much evidence to prove this such as the former hospice and the belfry and campanile.

Many artists such as Picasso, Nicolas de Staël, Dora Maar and Georges de Pojidaieff have lived in Ménerbes.
