Provence
produces 75% of the truffles from France; the departement of the
Vaucluse is the chief truffle-producing department in France, and
the name "Truffe du Périgord" is the common
name for the truffle. |
From
a family of truffle growers since four generations, Géo
Balme, truffle fanatic and creator of the Luberon Truffle, has "hunted" the
truffle for 39 years. With his dogs, he has roamed the hills of
Provence all his life.
It's Winter for the
Tuber Melanosporum, Summer for the Tuber Aestivum and as
the leaves fall, Autumn for the Tuber Uncinatum.
Géo BALME also gets for you, from an Italian colleague
and friend, the Tuber Magnatum Viti (Truffle of Alba). |

 |
He
favours the gathering of wild truffles of the Luberon, coming from
soil unsullied by chemical fertilizers, with aromas infinitely
more potent than cultivated truffles.
He is always perfecting delicious gastronomic delicacies, such
as truffle-flavoured oils, honey and patés (7% truffle). |
Géo
awaits you, in winter as in summer, to help you discover all the
seasons of a gourmet Provence. |
