Wine University in Provence

Near Bollène, on the road that goes from Valréas to Vaison, Suze-la-Rousse is dominated by the formidable silhouette of its château. The fortress overlooks a landscape almost entirely devoted to viticulture, bordered to the East by the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.

The edifice, surrounded by a twenty-three hectare park, is an enormous pentagon, flanked by towers, that gives off an impression of extraordinary power.

This defensive aspect, very severe, strongly contrasts with what you discover once you cross the drawbridge : a wonderful inner courtyard in the purest Renaissance style.

The château, which can be visited, holds other surprises and organizes four photography exhibitions per year. Situated in the heart of a rich wine-growing region, the chateau also houses a Wine University, a resource center unique in France.

After a welcome at the château the group of students initiate themselves in wine with our œnologists during 2 H 30 in the wine-tasting amphitheater put at their disposal...
