Noves, a village of traditions in Provence

The town of Noves, 5,000 inhabitants strong with the hamlet of Paluds-de-Noves, is the north gate to the REGION of ARLES, thanks to the AVIGNON-sud autoroute access.

Over 2,000 years old, the home town of LAURE DE NOVES immortalized by the poet PETRARCH, Noves has been able to preserve its natural environment and farming all while developing its economy - furthered by the nearness of the main routes, the TGV train station and the Avignon airport – thanks to its many crafts and trades people and its dynamic industrial park

It has developed tourism and enhanced its architectural heritage.

Throughout the year, you have a choice of activities offered by 115 different associations aided by the town hall. The many sports and cultural infrastructures at your disposal let you practice your favorite activity in all seasons.

Seeing
The swirl of colours, as much in the landscape as in the traditional costumes and the amazing floats (Saint-Roch and Saint-Eloi) decorated with flowers and locally grown produce and drawn by horses harnessed in Saracen fashion, will just blow you away.

Hearing
The singing of the cicadas, the murmur of the water in the fountains on the shaded squares and the joyful brouhaha of the festivals will fill your ears.

Smelling
The fragrance of the pines, the thyme and the rosemary on our hills, of the flowers in our gardens, of the anise at aperitif time under the plane trees will intoxicate you.
