can join in or go your own way, as you please.

Salinger and her son Emmanuel de Menthon take pride in welcoming
their guests as personal friends. This traditional
provencal house is an ideal retreat for music & theater
lovers as well as antique enthusiasts, blending perfectly culture
and nature.
Nestled between the Luberon and Les Alpilles, 20 minutes from the city of Avignon
and 5 minutes from l'Isle Sur La Sorgue, the very simple XVIIth century Bastide
welcomes you with 5 bedrooms and 2 suites. A most romantic 2 bedroom-cottage
with living-room and fireplace is also available on the grounds. |

The Grounds are located in a curve of the river Sorgues in
the middle of agricultural fields. The house is bordered by a canal
which then passes under an XVIIIth century paper-mill building.

Between the canal and the river lies
an heavanly retreat "the island" planted with fruit
trees, and bordered by a dam where all sorts of fishes have
elected to live, a little paradise for the fly fisherman.
On the west-side of the house is a typical
provencal coutyard.
Art exhibitions take place in the park of La Bastide Rose : Niki
de Saint Phalle, Pierre Salinger
The exhibitions
are closed on tuesdays. |
