MIRABILIS (MARVELOUS-MIRACLE)

The first exhibition by AVIGNON MUSEUMS lets you discover a part of their secret collections in the spectacular décor of the Great Chapel of the Popes' Palace. It brings together, under the name MIRABILIS (MERVEILLEUX-MIRACLE), a compilation of 350 to 400 works from the five museums of Avignon. 

CHRISTIAN LACROIX will orchestrate the presentation, reviving the practice of the cabinets of curiosities, in tune with the famous couturier's own baroque universe.

The installation in the Popes' Palace, conceived as the departure point of an art itinerary, will take the public from one museum to the other. At each stage, the public can admire an ensemble of works that belongs to a certain museum and which ushers in the tour of the following one.
