The museum of the Moulin des Bouillons is located on the Route de Saint-Pantaléon in Gordes, in a 3-hectare park that also houses the Museum of Glass and Stained Glass.
On this Gallo-Roman site, you can visit the olive oil mill, an old animal-powered mill dating from the 16th century and and listed as a Historic Monument. It one of the most remarkable mills in the Mediterranean basin, perfectly preserved with its vats dug into the rock and its Roman-built pipes. The monumental press weighs 7 tons and its lever is made of a single oak's trunk measures 10 metres.
The tour of the mill recounts the history of olive oil and the soap of Marseille in the Mediterranean region.
