Brun de Vian Tiran
First and foremost, a code of ethics
In addition to a respect for animals and animal populations, there is the concern for the environment, which Brun de Vian-Tiran endeavors, by whatever means, to preserve. And, out of the question to pollute the waters of the Sorgue, used since 1808 for dressing the fabrics !

Collection Camargue,
Natural product in wool
A brown and beige checkered pattern available as lap robes, blankets or curtains. It continues the traditional motif of the pasture stockings, those hose that were worn over the pants to protect the shins. This woolen cloth, the oldest woven by Brun de Vian-Tiran, is still fitted under the saddles of the Camargue horses, and adorns all the factory's windows, when it's not used to finish and protect the precious fabrics.
Tapis d'Avignon, (Avignon Rug)
Natural product in wool
What today we call the Avignon Rug, was still just yesterday known as the Rug of Isle : matted wool whose softness takes nothing away from its insulating, as much thermic as phonic, properties. In a solid colour or a Jacquard weave, that which for a long time had covered Provençal floors, is today a luxury item from Brun de Vian-Tiran... |

Desperately seeking thistle
A protected variety, the teasel thistle is now impossible to find here, as elsewhere in France. Progressively, they have had to replace that, which once served so well for raising the nap of the cloth, by metal spikes. |

Permed blankets,
Natural product in wool
Exclusive to Brun de Vian-Tiran, the Phénix, 100% virgin wool from New Zealand, is treated with a unique process involving jets of steam that, in perming the fabric, gives it incomparable body. |

A thousand year old tradition,
Natural wool fibers have a combination of comfort qualities that no other material to date can equal. Insulating, they keep you warm. Able to hold a lot of water without becoming damp (20 to 30 times more than most synthetics), they maintain healthy conditions under the covers. Their electrostatic neutrality limits the gathering of dust; finally, contrary to common thinking, no allergy to wool fibers has ever been scientifically proven. |
Two-humped camel,
For nearly fifty years, Brun de Vian-Tiran utilises the Camelus bactrianus, the two-humped camel used by the Tartares, as by the Mongols and the Chinese, and described by Marco Polo in his travel log. The "soapy" feel of the 100% camel blanket is obtained by eliminating the guard hair or coarse hairs.
The down goat,
The Cashmere goat, native to all of Asia, lives at between 4,000 and 6,000 metres altitude. To protect itself from the violent cold way up there, it has developed a fine, protective down under its coarse fleece, a light down of incomparable softness. |
