The Mérinos of Arles Antique
Latest find by the factory's heir, Pierre Brun, supported in his quest by Claude Gutapfel, a specialist in the Mérinos of Arles sheep : the Mérinos of Arles Antique, a fiber as resistant as it is delicate, a wool that is said to be indisputably the most beautiful in France. Like for a needle in the haystack, they looked for the breed of sheep whose fleece would have still kept the quality of the original Mérinos, imported from Spain by Louis XVI. Their perseverance was rewarded. From a few animals just yesterday, they have gone on to several herds of Mérinos of Arles Antique sheep, raised on the Plaine de Crau, destined for the exclusive use of Brun de Vian-Tiran.
It just goes to show that innovation can sometimes consist in simply renewing with the customs of old. The small wool factory undertood that perfectly : as far away as it may go, it always comes back to its roots, thus perpetuating a know-how passed down from generation to generation. True to the tradition of durability and optimal comfort, it still doesn't hesitate to show some audaciousness, all in its desire to prolong their trip for a long time, to continue the dream at least eight centuries.
The main word in this adventure: quality, quality in serving the customer, a quality guaranteed for over ten years.
