Château Grand Seuil
Côteaux d'Aix en Provence
Prestige White

Grape varieties : Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc.
Harvesting and pressing : Complete stalk removal before pressing in a pneumatic press.
Maceration and vinification : Vinification in French oak, with stirring, for 5 months (suspension of the lees which gives the wine its aromatic complexity ). At the 12th month, the wine, after light filtration, is bottled and put down for 6 months.
Wine-tasting notes : Brilliant golden yellow colour, vanilla bouquet. Exotic aromas of litchis and grilled almonds. Well-rounded with a persitant fullness.
Tips : Young and fruity, or matured and full-bodied, this barrel-aged wine needs to be left to breathe before serving.

Château Grand Seuil
Côteaux d'Aix en Provence
Prestige Red

Grape varieties : Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache.
Harvesting and maceration : Complete stalk removal before pressing - maceration of the must for 20 to 25 days. Worked by parcels, mid-October harvest.
Pressing and vinification : Pressing in a pneumatic press. After malolacitc fermentation, the wine is barrel-aged for 12 months in one third new oak, two thirds old oak.
Blending and bottling : After light filtration, the wine is bottled in Autumn.
Wine-tasting notes : Le Grand Seuil, elegant and harmonious, offers all the olfactory nuances and complexity distinctive to a wine matured in casks : spices and vanilla.
Tips : If you serve it young, open it one or two hours before drinking. Don't hesitate to decant it. This slight aeration will optimise its olfactory and gustative palette.

Château Grand Seuil
Côteaux d'Aix en Provence
Prestige Rosé

Grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Harvesting and pressing: Complete stalk removal before pressing in a
pneumatic press.
Maceration and vinification: Barrel-aged in old oak. Stirring for over 8 months (suspension of the lees gives the wine its aromatic complexity). After 12 months, the wine, after light filtration, is bottled and cellared for a couple of months before being made available.
Wine-tasting notes: Intense colour, a dry wine, rich and full-bodied, with secondary aromas and long finish.
Tips: A wine with good character - marries well with regional and traditional recipes. Barrel maturation allows for good ageing (from 3 to 5 years). Serve chilled.

Blanc de Blancs Brut

The Château grand Seuil Traditional Method
The making of our Traditional Method is carried out with the white wines harvested and processed at the Château.*
Maceration and vinification: After cold stabilisation and filtration, the wine is blended in a tank with a mixture of sugars and yeasts known as the "liqueur de tirage". It is then bottled and hermitically sealed with a crown capsule. This addition of sugar and yeasts
will cause a second fermentation known as the "prise de mousse". The carbon dioxide produced by the wine during this fermentation will dissolve and be transformed into natural bubbles. The wine is then bottle-matured for 9 months, adding character and developing aromas.
Wine-tasting notes: A Blanc de Blancs Brut that will seduce you with its even bubbles and typical fruity, citrus aromas.
Tips : Enjoy this dry and fruity sparkling wine as an aperitif. For a delicious cocktail, add 1 part crème cassis (black current liqueur) to 5 parts sparkling wine. Serve well chilled.

*The fabrication takes place at the establishment "La Tête Noire" in Rognac.
