A wine story
The essential grape varieties used by Noilly Prat are exclusively Blancs de Blancs white wines,
light and fruity. The wines are first matured separately in large oak casks inside the original storehouses first used in 1850. For eight months, contact with the oak strengthens the body of the wine.
An open air ageing process unique in the world!
The wines are then transferred to different oak barrels, lined up in the open-air enclosure where, for one year, exposed to the heat of the sun, the sea breezes and to the winter chill, they undergo a profound transformation.

The herbalist's
Since time immemorial, Noilly Prat has had plants and spices brought from the four corners of the world: camomile from Italy, coriander from Bulgaria, bitter orange peel from Spain, nutmeg from Indonesia, centaury from Morocco... and others, but the full list must remain secret!

When you cook with Noilly Prat, you are endowing your dishes with the unique flavours of plants and spices from all over the world!
Each of the plants and herbs is prepared in the traditional manner, according to a precise, unchanging ritual in a place untouched by time: the herbalist's.
Only plants that have been dried slowly are accepted. Their flavouring qualities are thereby preserved intact and their flavours are passed on in full, by means of direct maceration in the wine - a process unique to Noilly Prat...
