It was in 1987 that, for the first time, the idea was put forward of sharing this marvellous mushroom, the "Black Truffle", with the greatest number of people.
Demystify the Truffles. Make it accepted that it is not a luxury product, despite its price per kilo and in fact you really don't need more than 8 to 10 grams (per dish and per person). It was for all of this that the "Truffles Omelettes in Tricastin" day was born.
For 20 years now our only objective is that you discover, at a moderate price, the truffle in its environment. On this occasion, the Maison de la Truffe lets you find out all about it on the 2nd Sunday of February from 9am to 8pm.
Fixed-price menu or à la carte, everything is possible, and all accompanied by the wines of the Coteaux du Tricastin.
After the cocktail, you will be served a salad with truffles, then a truffles omelette, finishing with a heart of brie flavoured with truffle. During the whole meal, the wine-makers will let you discover the wines of the Tricastin, to drink, of course, in moderation.
A contribution of 27 € will be requested for this meal.
Outside, the event continues with the wine and regional products fair. Fresh truffles and truffle plants.
It's also the occasion to take part in conferences on the truffle and wine.
Finally, it's the opportunity to come to the southern Drôme and discover the February sun.
For several years now, the event has been a real success (2000 people). That's the reason why we suggest that you couple this event with a truffle discovery day. That way, Saturday evening, upon reservation, you can sample the proposed menu at the Maison de la Truffe et du Tricastin. |
