Le Luberon de Persia.
A book of joy.
A route mapped out just for the pleasure of it, with Persia
as guide and Jacqueline Brotte for the history,
big and small, the curiosity, the anecdote. Behind these beautiful
pictures lies the flesh and substance of a region rich in culture
and traditions.
Village squares, fountains, châteaus, mills, simple houses...
and, ever-present, flowers, trees, grapevines, Nature as Persia
loves it.
So here's an idea for an excursion, for discoveries, for well-chosen
moments of happiness.
Take some time off, that's a promise of some rare encounters:
leaving a last bend in the road, a perfect vision of Lourmarin,
an ideal Persia; past the heights, there's Vaugines
and its adorable little church; at the end of the road, yet
not far away, the incredible Sivergues, it's
few houses and staggering site; Ménerbes, Oppède,
Lacoste, Bonnieux, clinging to the slopes of the Luberon
; Gordes, a dream in stone; Saignon
on its unlikely rocky setting; La Tour d'Aigues
and the château with a decor as spectacular as its rich
history...
Amidst so many marvels, Persia is happy and his happiness -
as you will see - is contagious.
