Created on the site of the 1895 pumping station for the town of Aigues-Mortes, right in the heart of the Camargue, Château La Pompe is a 19th century "folly", a unique place in the Camargue for its particular architecture and the magnificence of the grounds that surround it, with its collection of bamboo and vast ponds, its sundial, water lilies and carp. |
Surrounded by rice paddies and prairies for horses and bulls, this particularly well-cared for place, restored by Marie and Michel Durand-Roger, is meant to welcome, in a novel and creative manner, guests wishing to discover the Camargue in an original and exceptional ambiance. |
