The current
decor in this 1800’s
establishment dates back to an era when restaurant owners were
also patrons of the arts.
Louis Majorelle
crafted the bar from Cuban mahogany and Art Nouveau’s
most prominent decorators attended to sprucing up the place
which was little more than a simple neighborhood eatery at
the time.

Julien
carries on the grand tradition of Parisian brasseries.
2003 marked the centenary of
Julien, which is a National Heritage site, and the celebrations were
joyful and festive
Another
world awaits you behind the red velvet curtain that clothes the entrance
of this famous establishment.
The decor has not changed - Art nouveau,
in all its splendour, embellishing the ladies who dine amongst a
palette of golden colours where cherubs, peacocks and bunches of
grapes vie with each other in the mouldings.
There are not many places in Paris where history can be savoured
with every mouthful, at every glance and with such authenticity and
pleasure.
