Festival of Truffles and Regional Products in Carpentras
On February 4, 2007, from 9:30 to 6pm, at the Salle Polyvalente in Carpentras (Vaucluse) in Provence, the truffle festival will take place. There will be many stands offering truffle products (fresh and tinned truffles, truffle plants) and quality regional products.
Digging demonstrations, the biggest truffle competition, talks, truffle-based cooking workshop with the master cooks of France, inauguration of personalities by the Brotherhood of the Black Truffle of the Mont Ventoux and the Comtat Venaissin, with this year as sponsor of the festival, the Parisian chef Alain Senderens.
Free entry. Lunches possible, with this year, among other dishes, black truffle omelettes, pieds -paquets, raviolis.

The association defines the area of production restraint to the market, recognizes owners on the market, watch carefully to the quality truffles (range, frozen, maturity ,....)

The market is opening on December 9th, every Sunday morning from 10am to 12pm, around the fountain The Esplan, and until the end of March.
