Chez Philippe Vaché,
at the Café du Cours in Rochegude, we come across two other categories of customer : students from the wine university in Suze la Rousse, right nearby, and bicycle tourists.
In this old village where the houses are squeezed together around the château, the two chapels and the fountain, the bistro the "Café du Cours" is part of local life since 1800.
Under the sycamores or inside, surrounded by the yellow walls and a warm décor, don't miss the couscous on Thursdays, the aïoli on Fridays or the barbecues on summer evenings.
The tall stories recounted to the company at large or the little secrets whispered by a regular, "the local bistros are true centers of social activity," comments Philippe Vaché. "In a bistro, locals and tourists find themselves sharing the way of life of our region ; it's a place for them to meet and exchange ideas beteen one another, often in a very lively and cheerful way."
