2 animated days will be dedicated to this sweet-smelling flower. Indeed the wide lavender fields ring Montélimar, the capital of Nougat, and as soon as you leave town, you can immediately smell the first scents and admire the colours. Contrasting sights of blue and green, then blue and yellow from the sunflowers, Montélimar in Drôme Provençale loves its nature and it returns the compliment generously.

With "Montélimar - shades of lavender" and its market of local flavours and lavender scents, you will be able to seize the opportunity of discovering many exhibitions of works as well as products made with lavender and its by-products : lavender, dried flower bouquets, essential oils, lavender honey, nougat, ceramics, wickerwork, material, lavender blue figurines, perfumed soaps and candles, paintings or pictures with lavender landscapes, lavender sorbet, cordial and drinks...

You’ll be able to enjoy the fragrant scent of lavender in the Provençal Avenues. A lavender water known as "hydrolat" will be poured along the streets, Distilling of both lavender and hybrid lavender will be carried out in the traditional way and a procession of floral floats (horses, music, local folk group,...) will animate the Sunday morning. During the biggest lavender party, discover some lavender products !
