Li Calendo ! The Christmas "calendes", a blessed time for all in Provence ! A time of festivities prepared at length, with deep thought given to traditions, and the ardor and emotions of its rituals. They take on a family character and stretch over the period from the feast of Saint Barbara on December 4, to Epiphany on January 6.
During this period, all of Provençal culture is revived.
