Villa Gallici is located 5 minutes walk from the town centre of Aix-en-Provence.
It is an enchanting place as regards countryside and art, with which the fortunes and landscapes of the French painter Cézanne are associated.

Aix-en-Provence was founded by the Romans in 122 BC. It was very important in the Late Roman Empire as the capital of the province of Narbonensis Secunda and, from the ninth to eleventh century, as the capital of the County of Provence.

Today there still is a Court of Appeal, a University and an Archbishop's Palace.
