Simiane : owes its proud fame to the ruins of a fortified castle, la Rotonde, whose conical silhouette crowns the village. Built in the 12th century to strengthen the defense system of the seignioral family Agoult-Simiane, it gave its name to the village.
Banon : The village of Banon's reputation rests on the beauty of the landscape, especially in summer with the violet-blue lavender fiels that stretch as far as the eye can see, and on its delicious cheese commonly called Banon.
Revest du Bion : is a small, peaceful village between the Albion Plateau and the Lure Mountain. Surrounded by large oak, pine and beech woods and fields of lavender, the village is well away from the major routes, under one of the clearest skies in France. |
