Each year since 1996, at the height of the Provençal summer, Arles becomes the center of privileged encounters with the sounds and the great Voices of the world. New traditional music floods the heart of the beautiful city of Arles which beats to the mixed rhythms of a big popular festival where musical discoveries, exchanges and sharing come together for the course of a week.

The Festival Les SUDS, in ARLES, conjugates at all hours the state of grace : sonorous morning strolls along the shaded squares, musical apéritifs always favourable to convivial encounters and neighbourhood meals, Musical Siestas when the sun's at its zenith, at the Espace Van Gogh, Precious Moments in the Courtyard of the Archevêché, poems sung at the Church of the Frères Prêcheurs and at the Saint-Trophime Cloisters and grandiose Southern Soirées under the starry sky at the Roman Theatre... without forgetting the Afters !

The magic of the moments, the magic of the places full of history... music from around the world resounds here like a universal language. Between free performances during the day and paying concerts in the evening, the Festival also offers music and dance lessons with artists well-known in their field - from an introduction to a professional level - in order to live the experience from the inside.

An amazing extravaganza spread around the four corners of the city and a beautiful occasion to be a part of this joyous alchemy that combines studied and festive music, intimate melodies and popular rhythms, southern sonorities and the true accent of the South !
