Argilliers is a very old settlement.
Its hills to the north protected it from the fierce winds, and the village itself
is on a gentle slope of land where golden stones rise out of the darker clay...
Inhabited already in Roman times (several Roman
villas have been found), we still find farms in operation (sunflower, orchards,
vineyards and olive rees above all...) |
