Temporary exhibition "Perfume of Ancient Egypt and Chemistry" from June 3 to June 27, 2010
Research conducted since 1996 have shown that 2000 years BC, the Egyptians mastered chemistry of perfumes and cosmetics: creams, wrinkle or tinted, body oils, makeup, perfume essences subtle .. .
Through this exhibition featuring interactive exhibits, discover the therapeutic virtues, fungicide and disinfectant ointment herbal perfumes and recognize the former. Come also to understand how the magic combined the perfume in ancient Egypt, the sacred with the profane, the spiritual sensuality.
Exhibition designed by Science Centre with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Center of Culture and Cooperation of Cairo and the Centre for Research and Restoration of National Museums.
