The tour is audioguided (languages available : French, English, German, Spanish, Italian and Provençal) and lasts 40 minutes. It's a fabulous journey in time through sixteen soundtracked scenes, scented and with many special effects : the blowing of the Mistral wind, the songs of the cicadas, the fragrances of the garrigue...
The Grévin museum of Provence has been built all on one level and is thus accessible to the handicapped and people with difficulties walking. Granted the Handicap Tourism label in 2006.
Four exhibitions per year add spice to this journey into history (diverse themes treated : gastronomy, literature, costume and dress, traditions) - projection room, nursery school, primary and secondary educational materials in French and English.
At the end of the tour, the boutique offers souvenirs, foamy (the authentic soap Marseille), fragrant (lavender essential oil) and informative (books and documents about Provence). |
