GRANET MUSEUM - AIX EN PROVENCE

The entirely renovated Granet Museum in Aix en Provence presents its permanent collections of nearly 600 paintings, sculptures and archaeological pieces.

The Granet museum, in Aix en Provence, lets you discover the French School from the 17th to 20th century. This includes remarkable pieces like the portrait of Rigaud and Largillière from the 17th century, an ensemble on the decorum of the Palais Comtal destroyed around 1785, and more than 50 works by François-Marius Granet.

The Provençal School is organized around Loubon and Guigou. The highlights of the Granet museum, in Aix en Provence, stand out majestically, such as the Jupiter and Thétis by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. A room devoted entirely to Cézanne presents 10 of his oils on canvasses.

And to beautifully end the tour, the exceptional donation "From Cézanne to Giacometti" presents the greatest names in modern art : Picasso, Matisse, Klee, Giacometti, Mondrian, de Staël... offering visitors a suite of dazzling, never before seen works.
