THE SITE'S HISTORY
The Hôtel d'Astier de Montfaucon, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, has belonged to the mayor’s office since
1751. It was the town’s hospice during the 19th century and the boys'school until 1953. In a dilapidated state, it
was partially occupied by local clubs until 1995. That year, the building was added to the Historic Monuments
supplementary list and rehabilitated.

A PLACE OF DISCOVERY
This site is open to the public since May 29, 2004 during a retrospective exhibition of the works by the painter Joe Downing. As well as welcoming exhibitions of this type, the Maison de la Truffe et du Vin du Luberon is a knowledge center of the world of the truffle and of wine in the greater Southeast.

A winotheque |

The wine cellars house a winotheque regrouping all the wine-makers in the geographic area of the Luberon National Park, those being the appellatons AOC Luberon, Ventoux and Pierrevert.
The wines here are sold at the cellar's prices.
An interactive stand provides the visitor with all information relative to wine-making in the Luberon and to the Truffle in the Southeast (history, wine-making methods, the vines, matching wines with food, types of French truffles...). |

A laboratory |

18 posts, equipped with sinks and individual lamps, will accommodate oenological courses for wine lovers in the summer. |

A conference center |

The Maison de la Truffe et du Vin du Luberon also hosts, on a large scale, all events associated with these industries in its magnificent reception halls, which is put at the disposal of the interprofessionals and which can also be rented for private events. |

The Boutique and the Wine Cellars |

From April to October open everyday.
