Sporting Activities
For the active visitor there is plenty to do in the Luberon: Miles of hiking over well-beaten tracks such as the Cedar Forest of Bonnieux, the Colorado Provencal of Rustrel or the rocky and wild area of Buoux. Several walks can be found in the immediate surroundings of Bonnieux; many more after a short drive with the car.
There are various levels of difficulty. We can advise you about most of the hikes from personal experience!

For the racer as well as the mountain biker there are many opportunities. Black top roads or sandy paths; uphill or downhill (usually both!); covering a distance of 80 km or crossing a stony riverbed: something for everyone!
Naturally we can provide the required maps and advice, as we can for the heroes who want to climb Mont Ventoux!

Golfers can enjoy the greens of Grand Avignon, Pont Royal and the Provence Country Club. The latter is located just 20 car minutes away in Saumane and offers our guests a modest reduction on the green fee.

Culture
After a stroll through our own Bonnieux, with its medieval small streets, pleasant lifestyle shops and elegant galleries, you will find there is much more to explore.
Charming little villages, such as Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (the Sunday antique- and flea market), Lacoste (the ruins of the castle, which belonged to the Marquis de Sade), Roussillon (the ochre quarry), Gordes (Village des Bories) and Ménerbes (Peter Mayle!) are just a few kilometres away.
Driving a bit further you can encounter the rich history in the Papal Palace of Avignon or choose for an afternoon of shopping in the attractive arcades of Aix-en-Provence.
A bit further still (but no more than a one-hour drive) the now-in-vogue city of Marseille can offer a completely different program.

Food and Drink
Traditional Provencal markets, simple local brasseries or stylish Michelin star restaurants, wine yards of the Côtes du Luberon of the Côtes du Ventoux: everything is worth a visit!

On the evenings that we do not serve our Table d’Hôte you can easily walk to the village of Bonnieux. There you will find about 6 cosy restaurants of various price levels.
