meters to the Gard Bridge : Built at the beginning of our era, the Gard Bridge of Gard is a piece of the Roman aqueduct which led the water of Uzès to Nimes. It spans Gardon over a 360 meters length. It is made of 3 levels of arches supporting the covered channel located at 48 meters of the ground. It is the highest known aqueduct bridge of the Roman world. 20 kms to Nimes : Crossroads of the Roman and Protestant influences, Nimes, "French Rome" is a city in charge of history. The oval of the arenas points out splendours of the ancient city. 20 kms to Avignon : Avignon owes its origin with the rock of Doms, natural refuge above the Rhone. Today, Avignon is not only one inheritance city, rich downtown monuments and museums, but also true of alive culture thanks to its festival. 10 kms to Uzès : Located at 24 kms in the north of Nimes, Uzès is an entirely restored town of Art.
