meters to the Gard Bridge : Built at the beginning of our era, the Gard Bridge of Gard is a piece of the Roman aqueduct which led the water of Uzès to Nimes. It spans Gardon over a 360 meters length. It is made of 3 levels of arches supporting the covered channel located at 48 meters of the ground. It is the highest known aqueduct bridge of the Roman world. 20 kms to Nimes : Crossroads of the Roman and Protestant influences, Nimes, "French Rome" is a city in charge of history. The oval of the arenas points out splendours of the ancient city. 20 kms to Avignon : Avignon owes its origin with the rock of Doms, natural refuge above the Rhone.
