Tourism in Aveyron and the surrounding areas

The Millau Viaduc is 45 min from Brousse. The Giant of Aveyron.
At the Viaduc Espace Info, you will discover the secrets of its construction and climb up to the Belvedere, unique viewpoint over the work itself and its surroundings.

Near Millau, don't miss out the chance to descend the Gorges of the Tarn and the Gorges of the Jonte.

The Roquefort Papillon cheese dairy. Free tours of the cellars.
You will learn everything about the making of this ancestral cheese, typical to Aveyron.

With Albi less than an hour's drive away, you will be seduced by this region with a Tuscan air.
Discover the imposing Saint Cecile Cathedral, the Toulouse-Lautrec museum and old Albi. (photo credit : CDT Tarn-C.rivière)
And why not go a few kilometers further to discover the diversity of the wines of Gaillac, that the winemakers make with patience and love for over a thousand years now.

Setting off from Brousse there are many walking and hiking trails; it is also the paradise for athletic mountain bikers. (photo credit : OTACS).

To cool off, we suggest you go down the Tarn in a Canoe, leaving from Broquiès (8 km away), and discover, at your own pace, the striking panoramas of the Tarn valley.

Fishers will be spoiled, in the Tarn they can tease the Barbel, Trout, Carp and for the most talented, the Pike. (photo credit : OTPR).

As for eating, we strongly suggest making a reservation in the village, at the restaurant Le Relays du Chasteau, chez Phillipe and Sybille, excellent regional cuisine for four genérations.

With its 10 villages classed among the Most Beautiful Villages in France, Aveyron comes in first of the French department ; Brousse-le-Château is the jewel.
