Places to visit
Vallon Pont D'Arc - natural stone bridge over the river Ardeche.
The Ardeche gorges - the most beautiful gorge in France with breathtaking views for 25 km.
The Plateau du Coiron - beautiful scenery and home made goats cheese.
Vals - spa town with thermal baths, an intermittent spring and casino.

Montelimar - stroll around this lovely provencal town, sample nougat and see how it is made. Hand made pottery stalls in Dieulefit.
Roman remains in Alba, Vaison la Romaine, Pont du Gard and Orange. Lyon or Marseille for the big city experience and fine shopping and dining.

Things to do
The ‘Golf de la Valdaine’ is located 14 miles away from the house.
Walking - there are dozens of way marked circular walks for all abilities starting at le Mas du Chene and nearby villages.
Cycling - every ability catered for. The L'Ardechoise cycle race in June is a big event for enthusiasts and spectators with several thousand participants.
Kayaking - make the descent of the Ardeche or Drome rivers. Tree parks - swing from treetop to treetop in complete safety!
There are many festivals during summer and autumn; Jazz festival in Crest (August). |

Food and Wine :
Take a wine tour in Cotes du Rhone. There are many way signposted and documented routes - sample the wines from the area. Chateauneuf du Pape; Cotes du Rhone; Hermitage; Cotes du Tricastin; and Clairette de Die to mention a few.
Visit the markets and enjoy the fresh local produce; peaches, melons, olives, cheeses, charcuterie are just some things the region has to offer.
Eat out in some of the fine local restaurants - from Michelin 3* to bistro.
