Mas de Lure is 30 km from Aix en Provence and Sainte Victoire Mountain, made famous by the master painter Cezanne, to whom the city has dedicated a museum.
You can visit Marseille with its old harbor and Chateau d'If, which are reachable by boat.
The mediterranean sea is close by, with its Cassis a Martigues streams and fine sandy beaches which strech all the way to Sainte Marie de la Mer.
Other things you can visit are Arles with its Feria and Gipsy folklore ; Avignon with the Palace of the Popes and its festivals ; Saint Remy de provence with the antique roman ruins of Glanum, and la Roque d'Antheron with its international piano festival.

From Mas de Lure you can walk or bike on the numerous marked trails or on the official pedestrian path GR6 wich passes through the Provencal hills.
