Fragonard France

Fragonard, in France, a family tradition since 1926. The Fragonard Perfumery was born in Grasse, in France, at the beginning of the last century. Under the leadership of the heirs of its founder, it today offers, through its museum, its shops and its new creations for your home, a whole fresh and contemporary world nourished by Provençal sources.

It's a beautiful family history, a history of perfumes and of women. A history that begins in Grasse in 1926, when Eugène Fuchs opened a perfumery with the name of Fragonard in honor of the famous painter from Grasse. From father to son and from son to grandson, the business developed. No longer content with just its shop sales, Fragonard exports its primary materials and supplies other prestigious perfumeries such as Elisabeth Arden in the United States.

The manufacturer has henceforth become a factory and extends over three different sites which remain open to the public. A great art lover, Jean-François Costa, Eugène Fuchs grandson and heir to the company, took it into his head during the 1970s to bring together his collections of objects linked to the history of the perfumery and to create the museum in Grasse and two other museum-boutiques in Paris.

To this family saga, come Agnès and Françoise who at a quite young age joined their father at the controls of the business to take over and lead the soon to be octogenarian establishment towards other horizons.
