Mas des Comtes de Provence

Hotels - The Alpilles

Nestling in the verdant countryside between the Alpilles and the Camargue, a big old Provençal building, once serving as King René's hunting lodge, houses the Mas des Comtes de Provence. This hotel, a charming establishment entirely restored and fitted for our guests' comfort, exudes a totally Provençal air. The spacious and luxurious rooms and suites are all air-conditioned. Each one different and tastefully decorated, they bear the evocative names of Pichouline, Arlésienne, Garance and Camargue… starting you off on your journey in the region of Arles, in this part of Provence so dear to Frédéric Mistral and Alphonse Daudet.

A park full of Provençal plants, lavender beds, hundred-year old sycamores and olive trees surrounds the property. The pool house and the splendid Italian pool for swimming welcome you for divine and refreshing moments that let you fully enjoy your stay in this preserved 15th century setting.

Table d'hôtes

Teamed up in the kitchen, Marie-Rose, Bujar and Urs compose a new culinary score each day. Their credo: to rouse and regale your tastebuds with traditional, sometimes revisited recipes.
Fresh, quality organic produce, carefully chosen from the best farmers in the region, goes into the preparation of a tasty and flavoursome cuisine.
The restaurant at the Mas des Comtes de Provence with its “retour de marché” cuisine is open for dinner with a menu made up of a starter, the main course (meat or fish) and its accompaniments, and an all you can eat selection of cheeses and dessert, for the pleasure of all food lovers.
We recommend that guests reserve in advance for this convivial meal into which the flavours of the land introduce themselves daily.
