Going with the flow

A river, whose Roman name was "Druma", today known as the Drome, flows through the department from East to West. This river, which resembles a water sports field in summer, gave its name to the territory in which it has its source and stretches for approximately 110 kilometres. But it is not the only river; the lands of the Drome border the Rhône river and are also punctuated by many creeks, lakes and cascades, great for canoeing and kayaking, fishing, sailing and windsurfing and rowing.

Swimming pools

Many towns have a municipal pool: Buis les Baronnies, Châteauneuf-du-Rhône, Cléon d'Andran, Dieulefit, Donzère, Eyzahut, Grignan, La Bégude de Mazenc, Montbrun les Bains, Montélimar, La Motte Chalancon, Nyons, Pierrelatte, Saint Nazainre le Désert, Saint Paul Trois Châteaux, Séderon, Tulette.
