More than 80 houses,
built of traditional materials (stone, wood, cement). With
an average height of 1 meter to 1.20 meters, they weigh between 50
and 120kgs each.
60,000 tiles, made one by one by hand, make up the
rooftops.
More than 1000 santons of animals and people constitute
the main part of the 1116 m² (over 10,000 sq ft) of décor
presented to the public.
Most of the santons measure between 27 and 32 cm (avearge height
: 30 cm / 12 in) and are dressed. They are, for the most part, the
work of prestigious santon-makers; some are one-of-a-kind pieces
that make up these new décors. |
