Tourism & Leisures

Troubadours recount that after the Creation there remained, in the South of France, a small virgin expanse without a name. The creator then brought together in his hands everything that had served him earlier, orchards, mountains, forests, water, and threw them down, saying : "Here will be the Vaucluse".

"Oh, it's beautiful, this coveted Luberon, which stretches from East to West, sometimes of rock, sometimes Tuscan, sometimes emerald, sometimes mauve and gray"(Serge Bec)

With all this diversity, you can discover on foor, horseback or bicycle :

- The famous ochre quarries of the Provencal Colorado and Roussillon.
- Apt, its candied fruit and international market.
- Bonnieux and its cedar forest, superb viewpoint over a wild landscape.

- Gordes , classed as one of the most beautiful villages of France, its bories (stone shepherds' huts).
- The "Giant of Provence", the Mont Ventoux presents a diversity of landscapes and unique flora.

Sports activities are not left out :

- Rock climbing at Buoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.
- Canoeing and kayaking on the Sorgue, peace and coolness coming down from the Fontaine de Vaucluse.

Hiking at all levels, for all ages.
By following the different GR paths you will explore landscapes of brilliant colors. You will discover the tranquility of hilltop villages in the shade of age-old sycamores, cool water from fountains and the serenity of the inhabitants, all providing relaxing stops.
