Provence is a region where it is a real pleasure to go out and wander. You will discover beautiful villages with their markets, their crafts boutiques ... Certain places just must be visited, like:
Baux de Provence
This town, perched on the heights, towers above the exceptional landscapes of Arles, the Camargue and the Alpilles. The village is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and can be visited on foot only.
Daudet's windmill
At the foot of the Alpilles, you can admire Daudet's windmill, a symbol of the writer himself and his works, as well as other mills which have such names as Tissot- Avon, Ramet et Sourdon.
The Château de la Barben
You can stroll through the French gardens designed by Le Nôtre and, inside, admire the Empire and 17th and 18th century furniture.
The zoo of the Barben
This beautiful zoo lets you discover, in a 33 hectare park, species of animals coming from the 5 continents: boas, antelopes, bisons, llamas, macaws, ostriches... Children and adults alike will be filled with wonder! Don't miss the the vivarium and the bird house!!
Th ornithological park of the Pont de Gau
As you wander through this 60 hectare park, you can admire some of the bird species that are the most difficult to observe in Nature.
In the hills of Pagnol
Make an excursion in the hills which inspired "La Gloire de mon Père", where "Uncle Jules" hunted the rock partridge and Manon herded her goats...
The rocky inlets
From Marseille to Cassis, this limestone massif which extends over 4000 hectares (20 km long, 4km wide) plunges in abrupt cliffs into the waters of the Mediterranean.
