The name Arles
is today indissociable from that of Van Gogh.
Nobody can speak of the town and its luminosity without thinking of the
master's paintings.
The arena was immortalised in several of his works.
The Camargue offers you three great discovery circuits:
- The lake and pink flamingo route passes by the Sea Dyke and the Etang
du Fangassier sea pond (22 km).
- The salt route between the salt marshes.
- The rice route with a visit of the Rice Museum and the Capelière
reserve.
Les Saintes Maries de la Mer : the church and its crypt, which houses
the statue of Sarah and relics of the Saint Marys.
Le Grau du Roi : fishing and pleasure boat port, river port, Seaquarium
and Sea Museum.
Aigues-Mortes :The Constance Tower and City Walls, the White Penitents'
Chapel.
