La Douna, in the beautiful suburb of Villeneuve les Avignon, is the ideal place to stay in the area if you want to be close to all the activities Avignon and the region have to offer.
It's so close to the city that you can see the famous 11th century Pope's Palace from the wisteria-covered terrace, and from most of the rooms.
It's also the perfect spot if you want to relax and get away from the crowds and the noise!
Perched on a hilltop with spectacular views of Villeneuve , Avignon and the Alpilles, the loudest sounds here are the singing of the birds and the humming from the cicadas.
La Douna has a large private swimming pool with a pool house and spacious patio, about half an acre of landscaped gardens, and a Jacuzzi for seven. There is a French petanque playing area and a ping-pong table.
