Mireille's good advice
- A museum pass allows you to visit all the monuments and museums in Arles (except the Arlatan Museum).
- Discover a delightful Provencal market (fruits, vegetables, delicious smells, herbs from Provence, cheeses, sausages made in Arles, flowers, pottery, clothes and typical Provencal material...) open every Wedenesday and Saturday morning. The Saturday market should not to be missed. Unique for its beauty and size.
Office du Tourisme - Esplanade Charles de Gaulle - 13200 Arles - Phone : 04 90 18 41 20
Arles, a town with an impressive history, Arles is still as charming as it was when it when it was known as "Petite Rome de Gaulle". Hotel Mireille, situated within a short walk from the old centre of town, will be your key to discovering this prestigious heritage... The Arena, the Antique Theatre, Alyscamps, Les Thermes (the Thermal baths).

Arles is also the town of Van Gogh. Numerous places which inspired the painter are still present now. Le pont Van Gogh (Van Gogh's bridge), le jardin de l'espace Van Gogh (Van Gogh's garden), la Maison Jaune (the Yellow House)...

The Camargue
A mix of earth and water, surrounded by the Rhone River and encircled by the sea, the wild Camargue will amaze and astonish you. Bull herds, pink flamingos, dams, marshes and reed-beds, horse-riding. None of these landscapes or natural sights will leave you indifferent.

Les Alpilles, Saint-Remy, Les Baux, Paradou, Fontvieille...
The Alpilles mountains will be your gateway to the Provence sun. Here, everything is warmth, light, aromas and scents... so much to discover in our arid scrub lands and pine forests, so much to evoke in the shade of the plane trees that add to the charm, beauty and peace of our villages.
